Well done on all counts, running and writing. I appreciated the opportunity to relive a glorious race day vicariously through you, from the goosebump-inducing walk to the start line, to the home stretch on Boylston Street, to the nation's finest finish line. And yes, that post-race photo is definitely one to be treasured. Best of all, you were able to cherish every moment. I've always said that every serious marathoner should run Boston at least once in their lifetime, and your story is a perfect example. No matter what else happens in your running career, you'll always be able to gaze proudly at that blue-and-yellow unicorn medal and know... we'll always have Boston!MikeShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16517917476548002434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18177821.post-29132882514897282832019-04-22T13:44:41.114-04:002019-04-22T13:44:41.114-04:00Yes! Your blog is so very rich just for the experience of Boston and also for it’s application to life.

I love the “point two balloon.“ Everything about that is an affirmation of the friends of the heart you run work with and their good humor.

The bus dropped you off at the wrong place and you had to cope. Life always follows a zig with zag! I love the description of each segment of the race and the changing demands and expectations you experienced. Your comments about not running as well as you could reminds me of the Narnian call to move from where we are to, “further up and further in.”

The connection points with your family was huge. I loved the “with me“ time of running with Nathan and connecting with Gretchen at the end.

A read that encourages the heart! Persevere indeed!
Stannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18177821.post-81318467243753152712019-04-19T00:01:52.488-04:002019-04-19T00:01:52.488-04:00Read every word, Joe.
